Quadrigia Effect

Quadriga Effect: active flexion lag in fingers adjacent to a digit with a previously injured or repaired flexor digitorum profundus tendon or when the profundus is sutured over the end of an amputated digit

Debriding /  shortening a single flexor digitorum profundus (FDP) tendon >1 cm shortens the musculotendon unit resulting in a flexion posture, and an inability of the adjacent fingers to completely flex.
