Palmar Cutaneus Nerve


Palmar cutaneus nerve is at risk during the volar approach to the distal radius. 

Palmar cutaneus nerve is subcutaneous on the ulnar side of the FCR bewteen the FCR and the palmaris longus.

Volar incisions on the wrist should be placed on the radial side of the FCR to protect the palmar cutaneus nerve.
