- Fairly common due to frequent use of pneumatic nailguns in construction.
- Complicated by impaled clothing fragments, worksite debrie, adhesives resins, barbs, washers and plastic sleeves frequently utilized in nails.

- Document neurvascular examination
Nailgun Injuries Xray / Diagnositc Tests
- Xrays of affected extremity indicated.
Nailgun Injuries Classification / Treatment
- Operative nail removal recommeded with curettage of the nail tract, joint visualization if indicated and prophylactic antibiotics. Leave traumatic wound open. Tetnus prophylaxis.
- Simple nail removed risks leaving adhesive resin, clothing fragments, worksite debire and plastic sleeves behind with high associated risk of infection or septic arthrosis.

- Generally can return to work 7-10 days after operative nail removal and debridement
