Thin aponeurotic band extending from medial head of tirceps to the medial intermuscular septum
Approximately 8 cm proximal to the medial epicondyle
Present in 70-80% of individuals
May become point of kinking following anterior transposition of ulnar nerve
Observation of ulnar nerve entrapment associated with a midshaft humeral fracture and subsequent anatomic dissections led to the term “Arcade of Struthers" which is different than the Ligament of Struthers described in 1848. (DeJesus R, J Hand Surg 2003;28A:528-531)
