PIN Compression Anatomy

  • Most common site of compression is the arcade of Frohse.
  • Other sites of compression: leash of Henry, ECRB / ECRL, Supinator muscle.
  • PIN innervates the  EDC followed by the ECU, EDQ, EIP.
  • In terms of recovery after nerve injury the EIP is the most distal muscle innervated recovers last. First to return is EDC followed by the ECU, EDQ.  Last is EIP.
