  • congenital hypoplasia of one or more metatarsals
  • 4th toe shortening most common, often bilateral

Brachymetatarsia Treatment

  • shoe modifications, extra-depth or extra-wide shoes
  • May consider metatarsal lengthening or amputation for failure of non-op treatment in older child/after skeletal maturity.
