Soft Tissue Injury Classification
Oestern Tscherne Classification
- Grade 0: minimal soft tissue damage, usually inderect torsional force, simple assciated fracture pattern.
- Grade 1: superficial abrasionsor contusions and mild fracture and mild associated fracture pattern.
- Grade 2: deep abrasions, skin or muscle contsion, caused by direct trauma and have severe associated fracture pattern.
- Grade 3: extensive skin contusion or crush injury, severe demage to underlying muscle, subcutaneous avulsion or compartment syndrome.
